SHEPHERD'S CENTER-BEACHSIDE
Adventures in Learning for Adults
Rosi Oberlaender (Cooking with Rosi) was born in Germany. Early on she was a medical assistant from her professional training. She married her husband, Sigi, and they had two daughters. Sigi was a chemical and mechanical process engineer by trade and helped develop manufacturing plants throughout the world; he and Rosi traveled and lived in many diverse countries in Europe and South America. They finally retired in Indialantic but unfortunately, Sigi passed away in 2012. Rosi remains active at Ascension Lutheran Church and Shepherd's Center-Beachside. Rosi was one of the original teachers of Shepherd's Center when it began in 2004. Her cooking class is one of the most popular classes each term as she prepares many German and South American dishes. To keep her company at home, you can often see Rosi walking her Jack Russell terrier, Amigo along the streets in the Cloisters.
