BARBARA ALEXANDER (American Sign Language) is a retired, traveling  Surgical Nurse whose interest in ASL emerged from a desire to acquire an alternative language to the spoken voice, in the hearing world. As a living, evolving communication tool, ASL provides a bridge between the non-auditory and hearing members of our society.
